It has come to my attention that this site hasn't been active in quite a while. I've been extremely busy with classes but I do still check my emails for buyers or anyone who wanted to comment! So PLEASE... continue with the emails.

With love,

Baby-Doll Dress Debate

I have to say I was quite annoyed by the article on the New York Post. To sum it up, the author explains her loathing over the last few season's trends of baby doll dresses. One of her defenses was that all "men don't like it". To back up this point (very "scientifically" I might add), she goes to the valuable source of a man who says "I like all types of asses and a pair of jeans that really contours to it. I’m not going to hate on baby-dolls, but nothing beats a good ass.” Is it just me or is this whole entire article just ridiculous? Now I'm not going to pretend like I'm some expert on journalism, but this article just made me want to laugh hysterically while grabbing my bat and beating my computer screen with it.
The bottom line is that YES baby doll dresses can make you look pregnant, but it all depends on the construction of it. Not everyone is gifted with a 24" waist, including me. I, for example, depend on these silhouettes to "fake" a smaller waist. Empire waists to my knowledge, is what makes the dress and it is because of this empire waist that it usually slims down a figure (the cumberbund effect). The more the dress is separated into three different parts, the thinner you would look!

Sunday's Drool-Worthy List

I am constantly in the hunt for an affordable designer bag. To be frank, I am flat out broke most of the time. Between constant, borderline obsessive shopping and paying bills, bills and more bills, I can't afford to buy a $1,700 bag like they were a dime a dozen. So here is my wish list of totally drool-worthy bags:
top-left: Miu Miu Large Pebbled Leather Bag (sale) $549.99
top-right: Yves Saint Laurent Ivory Satchel (sale) $799.99
bottom-left: Barbara Bui Pocket Shoulder Bag (sale) $658
bottom-right: Chloe Paddington Zip Pouch (sale) $412

I really wish I can have all of them, but I'm kind of smitten with the Miu Miu and the Chloe, which (like last week) are the cheapest! Lucky me.

Sunday's Drool-Worthy List

I'm pretty much a sucker for anything with an empire waist, v-neck or tunic style top. I also have an unhealthy obsession with neutral colors... but is that really so wrong?! So here is my Sunday's drool-worthy list:

top-left: Printed Kimono Blouse by Urban Outfitters (sale) $29
top-right: Embroidered Dress by Banana Republic (sale) $84.99
bottom-left: Flock Print & Lace Cami by Diesel (sale) $75.08
bottom-right: Black Sequined V-Neck by La Rok (sale) $47.99

My favorite is the Urban Outfitters one, which also happens to be the cheapest. Happy shopping readers!

This cute pair of faux pearls are great to wear for any casual occasion. They do not have the typical round shape, but a more geometrical shape. It has an off-white color, despite the "yellowy" shade displayed in the low light image. A great vintage find!
